The Pillow Dream is our contemporary reinterpretation of a classical Chinese tale, exploring the shifting boundaries between reality and illusion, human desire and the transience of life. Adapted from Tang Xianzu’s Handan Dream 《邯郸记》, the production weaves refined Kunqu movement and lyrical vocality with contemporary theatrical and visual language, bringing new resonance to a story of ambition, awakening and the fragility of the human dream.
